"What a crazy but fun 5 days. I never dreamed that I would go through with all of the adventures but now I just want to do them over and over again! I really really didnt want to come back home, and our 5 days in cape town seemed very quiet after what we had been use to!

Just wanted to say that I was really impressed by the whole Cape Xtreme thing, and you have all worked real hard, I want to wish you luck for all your other tours that will come flooding in!

“It is difficult to put into words what an incredible five days we had with Gavin, and Cape Xtreme. I opted to go on the 5 Day Garden Route tour with Grayson, a slightly more adventurous friend! Gav picked us up bright and early from where we were staying in Cape Town, and together with Siri, a lovely girl from Finland we set off on our tour. From the word go we had the time of our lives, encouraging each other to do all the extreme activities, including 2 bungee jumps, crocodile cage diving, zip lining, abseiling down a huge cliff, paragliding and more. All the hostels we stayed in were great – they had all been hand picked by our tour guide. My favourite was in Tzitikama, we arrived as the sun was setting to a camp fire and a braai, and stayed in rustic bunk beds made from huge logs – perfect!

There are too many highlights to mention, the incredible feeling after the bungee jump at Bloukrans, the water fight whilst we were kayaking, horse riding along a beach at sunset, listening to a certain Jack Johnson song over & over again, and our last night at the pub in Knysna - laughing so much we cried!

It was amazing to face my fears and realize I am a lot braver and tougher that I thought! I really didn’t know what to expect when I booked the tour, but I feel so lucky to have had this experience and would recommend it to anyone visiting South Africa. We did more in the 5 days than most people would do in their entire lifetimes, and not only that, we made some great friends too.

Description
This is a 5 day adventure activity based tour leaving from Cape Town and heading through the Garden Route. Many great activities included and lots of optional extras. Along the way we visit all the main towns such as Knysna and Oudtshoorn and the villages such as Wilderness and Stormsriver on the Garden Route while also heading off the beaten track. You will Experience exhilarating activities like Abseiling, quadbiking and bungee jumping while also being surrounded by serene natural beauty.

What’s excluded

Day 1:
We leave Cape Town rather early in the morning to go Shark Cage Diving with Great Whites in Gansbaai. After coming face to face with these predators of the deep, we carry on along the N2 to the Gouritz River Bridge for a gut wrenching 65 meter bungee jump! Tonight we sleep over in Wilderness Village surrounded by mountains, golden beaches and Milk Wood trees.

Day 2:
We start the morning off by canoeing up the Touw River through the indigenous forest, where there is an abundance of birdlife. We then walk along a stunning new 2km long boardwalk which will take us straight to a beautiful waterfall. We relax and swim and then return via the same way. We then drive through the heart of the Garden Route where you have the choice of visiting Monkey land, Birds of Eden or The Elephant Sanctuary all of which are very beautiful and educational. After a tranquil day we change the pace slightly . . . with the worlds highest Bungee jump of 216 meters of the Bloukrans River Bridge! Tonight, with your adrenalin still pumping, we will be staying in Storms River Village situated in an ancient indigenous forest.

Day 3:
This morning you can either go Zip Lining over a river gorge with high waterfalls. This is really fun as there are 9 different lines to zip along with the longest being 220 meters! Or you can go Black Water Tubing, this involves making your way down a narrow gorge through rapids and over small waterfalls on specially designed rubber tube . . . loads of fun! After your fun filled morning, we stop at SA’s surfing mecca, J-Bay before heading to the Addo area of the Eastern Cape where we stay just outside of the National Park.

Day 4:
This morning we go game viewing in the Addo National Park for 3 – 4 hours. Proclaimed in 1931 when there was only 11 elephants remaining in the area, the park is now home to South Africa’s big 7 (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo, leopard, southern right whale and great white shark). Once you have taken as many photos as humanly possible, we head to Plettenberg Bay for the afternoon where you can either enjoy the beach or go sea kayaking to see the resident dolphins. In the evening you have the opportunity to go on a sunset boat cruise on the Knysna Lagoon. Tonight we stay over in Knysna, voted South Africa’s favourite town on numerous occasions.

Day 5:
Today we head over the Outeniqua mountains to the Klein Karoo Valley. Our first stop is the town of Oudtshoorn and the Cango caves where you will go on an adventure tour through large caverns with spectacular drip stone formations as well as squeeze through some small tunnels. We then visit a working Ostrich farm where those under 75kg even have a chance to ride one of these birds. We then make our way back to Cape Town along the scenic Route 62, arriving back in the Mother City in the early evening.
